Meet Our Team

Dave & Mary Williams

Founders

Dave and Mary’s story together began when they met at a young age and were married in April of 1977.

Despite the fact that some may have considered it to be bad timing, just two years after being married, and with the country in a deep recession, long lines just to buy gas, and a newborn baby, Dave and Mary began their pursuit of the American Dream. The three of them made up the Williams family and founded what quickly grew into Williams Professional Painting.

In the decades that followed their adventurous start, the business has grown to include 45 employees. And, their newborn baby in 1979, Rick, is now the Vice President of the company. With all of their employees in mind, Dave says that “One of the greatest rewards of running a business is being able to provide jobs for so many people.”

Dave and Mary believe that running a family business creates the opportunity for a different kind of climate than a lot of other businesses can have.

“While we always maintain a proper business structure and environment, at the same time we see all of those that work with us, as well as our customers, as a part of our family, not just employees and customers. That makes it special and we feel an obligation. We also realize that as a family business our name is on everything we do and stand for, from the way we treat those that work with us to the customer satisfaction at the end of a project. It’s all a reflection on the family name and what it stands for.”

After raising their three children and building the company from the ground up, they continue to enjoy spending time contributing to the business.

When not at work, they enjoy watching football together (Dave is a Redskins fan while Mary is a Giants fan) and being with their two grandchildren.

Dave’s “stress buster” is to spend time cooking on the weekends. In fact, Saturday mornings usually begin with a trip to the grocery store. Mary’s “stress buster” is watching as many movies as she can and putting together jigsaw puzzles made from pictures they have taken over the years, while also being the test guinea pig for some of Dave’s cooking creations.

Whenever there is time for a vacation, their choices would be the Corolla Beaches in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the Shenandoah Mountains, or the Great Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Rick Williams

President

Rick has been involved in the company his whole life. From cleaning paint brushes as a child to painting on a crew throughout his teenage years, he learned the “ins and outs” of the family painting business from real experience.

After painting summers and weekends through high school he graduated from the police academy and served as a Fairfax County Police Officer from 1998-2004.

In 2004 he rejoined the family business, beginning as an estimator. Ten years later, Rick is now the President and part owner of the company. He currently oversees the commercial division and manages all of the painters and foremen.

Rick is married with two children and lives in Manassas.

Yanize Justiniano

Operations Manager

When I started working with Williams Professional Painting I didn’t know anything about paint. But I guess God has ways of showing you things. When I read on the logo “Painting your World Beautiful,” I thought that was a good sign. It has been years now since I started here, and Williams Professional Painting has turned into my second family and my second home.

My title says “Office Manager” or, as I like to call it sometimes, “Miracle Worker.” I guess that only applies when I am able to please everybody on the schedule! I manage the scheduling department, human resources, and some of the accounting department as well. I love my job, and I’m never bored. I always get to interact with customers and employees alike. I guess Williams Professional Painting has painted my world beautiful and it’s my joy to think that now I’m part of doing that for other people!

Natalie Sarmiento

Administrative Assistant

My name is Natalie, I am an Alexandria native and a proud VCU Ram. I came aboard the WPP team in February 2017. It is the Williams’ entrepreneurial spirit, as well as their dedication to their customers and employees alike that really attracted me to this family business from the start. I bring a background in customer service and a keen knack for organization to the table, and I am excited to find new ways to channel these qualities into my work here at Williams Professional Painting.

Daniela Obregon

Administrative Assistant/Accounting

My name is Daniela and I joined the Williams Professional Painting team on May 2017.

During this short period of time I can honestly say that I feel very blessed and grateful for working for a company that brings so much dedication and professionalism to their customers as well as their employees. I come from an accounting and HR background; and the passion that the WPP team has for their work, inspires and motivates me to bring my skills and expertise to this great company.

Milton Chavez

Estimator / Project Manager

Born in Washington DC and raised in Alexandria, VA, I am a long-time native of the area. While I learned as many trades as possible, painting was the one field that stood out to me (and continues to over twenty years later). As in any trade, there is a sense of pride for any craftsman looking back at their work and seeing what can be achieved.

I came to Williams Professional Painting after answering an ad. I began working as a foreman, then eventually started estimating. I was happy to find a company that sees the potential in someone and embraces painting as an art within the industry. I can honestly say that WPP has created an atmosphere in which all employees can succeed through hard work and teamwork. I have been with WPP over seven years now and my dedication to providing quality service as well as a positive experience through any project is stronger than ever.

Jose Guzman

Since I moved to the DC area I have been working in the painting and renovation industry. I have been married for sixteen years and have two beautiful children. My eldest is 15 years old and the princess of the house is 8 years old.

In 2010 I arrived at the offices of Williams Professional Painting and have stayed here ever since. I feel very proud to be part of this company; they have given me the opportunity to develop my career first as a painter, then as a foreman, a project manager, and now as an estimator. I am very grateful to this company for believing in me. I have never met a company as organized as Williams Professional Painting. Thanks to the Williams family for opening your doors to me and believing in me.

I am native to Northern Virginia and consider myself fortunate to be working for a company that has such a strong reputation in this area. My background has been more in IT, and always in a support position; at WPP I continue in this role. Les Eichhorn

Foreman

I grew up in a large Christian family on a farm in Iowa. In school I was selected to be an American Legion Boys State Representative, and received the American Citizenship Award upon graduation from high school. After graduation, I enlisted and was proud to serve as an Air Force medic for the next 20 years.

My military medical career was varied to say the least, including many medical and surgical specialties. I was honored to have flown aero medical evacuation of wounded warriors out of Vietnam. I also spent a year and a half as an Independent Duty Medical Technician providing all medical care on remote sites.

While still in the Air Force I started working part time for a friend who had started a painting business (Williams Professional Painting). In 1989, as a Senior Master Sergeant, I was Patient Advocate for Malcolm Grow USAF Medical Center. I then retired from the Air Force and have worked for Williams Professional Painting ever since. I started as a painter, then progressed to foreman, production manager, estimator and now customer service representative. One of the greatest things about painting is seeing a great improvement in just a matter of days or even hours.

I have worked only two full time jobs in my adult life. Both have allowed me to meet and work for a vast number of people and accomplish a wide variety of quality work with integrity, pride, and without compromising standards.

I have been happily married for over 40 years, My wife and I both enjoy singing in the National Christian Choir (a 170 plus , non-denominational choir). We have three happily married daughters, and we enjoy our grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In 2007 I became part of the best company I have ever worked with in my career. I am very happy and grateful to be working for Williams Professional Painting. I would like to thank the Williams family for giving me this opportunity to serve our community and make it brighter one color at a time.
