As we wrap up 2018, everyone is looking expectantly to the new year and the painting world is no exception. All of the popular paint colors for 2019 have been revealed, and we're excited to showcase our personal favorites.
Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year: Metropolitan AF
Metropolitan AF is a stylish, soft grey. The designers and colorists behind it all have a deep appreciation for the cool, calm undertones of this subtle neutral. Described as comforting, composed, and “effortlessly sophisticated,” this 2019 pick of the year brings the essence of organic living to your space.
Although Metropolitan AF may be the color of the year, Benjamin Moore has compiled fifteen colors filled with calm, earthy options to complement and bring harmony to your home.
Not surprisingly, these colors mirror the growing trend of homes filled with a botanical style. Combined, they are reminiscent of warm, desert sunsets and cool, misty, lake sunrises.
Sherwin Williams' Color of the Year: Cavern Clay
Sherwin Williams has declared an equally natural color of the year for 2019: Cavern Clay. Cavern Clay can be described as warm and earthy; both casual and classy.
This terracotta brown is part of Sherwin Williams' “Wanderer” collection, each connected by a Bohemian high plains theme. When you look through the collection, you can almost feel the theme of unbridled adventure with a southwestern twist.
