Interior Painting in Rockville, Maryland

I want to thank you for the work done recently on our ipe deck. Ricardo Salas and Pablo power washed the deck, removing several years of tree drippings and grime, and then applied the new stain.They did a good job working around the white painted railings and pergola posts.The result is beautiful and the deck looks brand new. The workmanship was excellent and they clearly knew the proper way to apply the stain.

I was very pleased with the work that Dagobarto, Fidel & Les did on the 27^th replacing two rake boards on my house. The three men were friendly and professional. Les’ presence helped a lot because he made sure I knew that I wouldn’t be charged for the time D2 and Fidel spent getting paint, the PVC boards and a taller ladder.

If I were Dave I’d wonder why the crew showed up without those items. If they had they could have fit in another job in the time it took to get what they needed. That’s not a hit on D2, Fidel or Les.

So, as I told Les, Williams Painting remains on my short list when my home needs to be painted again – probably not for a couple of years.

This past Friday, March 29, 2013, Williams Professional Painting concluded their work on the interior of our building and the final check has been issued under the contract into which we entered back in February 2012. For purposes of your records and knowing what paint was used, please be advised we used Benjamin Moore “Pale Oak” on the first floor and a custom blend we titled “Nimbus 50%” for floors 2-roof vestibule, also manufactured by Benjamin Moore. Due in part to circumstances beyond our control, the project took longer than expected, but was well worth the wait considering the following five factors that help demonstrate the extra value we received under this contract:

• the paint class was upgraded to “Aura,” the highest quality available, and wallpaper areas addressed twice, at no extra cost to the Association;
• the painters worked quietly and on weekends, and Dave Williams even placed himself in harm’s way by photographing an intruder and likely criminal;
• Dave Williams and his painting staff were professional at all times and exhibited extraordinary amounts of patience in addressing our every concern;
• Dave Williams acted as a consultant during the paint selection phase and accommodated our many requests to test a multitude of paint samples; and
• Williams Professional Painting made an inordinate amount of extra trips to our property, which costs the firm time and money, in order to accommodate our preferences, coordinate with our redesign schedule, and paint, repaint and caulk several areas outside the contract scope at no charge to the Association because he was not satisfied.

Given the high level of commitment Williams Professional Painting made to our property, it was considerably important – and fair – that this extra information be imparted to you. The Board anticipates budgeting for “upkeep” painting to keep the common elements as pristine as they look now. While the Board cannot offer an endorsement of a particular contractor to you, I have personally been impressed enough by the perfectionist efforts of Williams Professional Painting to retain them in the near future to paint my private residence and therefore have copied Dave Williams on this message in case you wish to consider him for the same. Although Williams Professional Painting will not be able to offer us a viable solution to paint the exterior elevator doors and entryway cladding on floors 2 – roof vestibule, the Board is engaged in discussions with an elevator specialist who purportedly has the technology to make those surfaces more receptive to paint engineered just to adhere to those challenging types of entryways.

Dave – I would just like to express my appreciation in writing for the wonderful job Williams did in the recent painting (8/19 –8/28/15) of my home. The painters worked tirelessly from early morning to late afternoon. I was fortunate in having Dagoberta D2 as the team leader. Not only was he an excellent painter but he kept me informed of the progress of the work and what I could expect each day. The work was challenging. It included removing wallpaper from two closets, one partitioned into upper and lower halves. Working in these small spaces would test one’s physical and mental toughness. Suffice it to say that both closets look like works of art now with smoothly painted walls and woodwork. The team of painters also included Erick, D1, Rodrigo, and Enrique. They were all extremely hardworking and pleasant.

While the painting of the interior has made the house look new, the exterior painting has made it look like a show house. Neither would have been possible without the help of Williams’ Designer Lisa Reyes. Lisa steered me in the right direction with color choices. I could easily still be bogged down by decisions if she had not given her stamp of approval to selections we considered early on.

Finally the work might not have gotten off the ground without the help of Jose Guzman. In the period preceding the work, Jose came to my home twice as I struggled to finalize my requests. On the day that the painting began, Jose arrived to orient Dagoberta D2 on the scope of the project, remembering even the smallest details. Throughout Jose kept in touch with me and with the team.

As a homeowner I could not have asked for a better experience with a company. I hope that I have an opportunity to work with Williams again.

I didn't actually get any work done by Williams because my timeline would not work with the schedule but they actually sent me an email to let me know that they would have to decline the opportunity to work on my project. This is the first time I've ever received such a courtesy from contractors in the home improvement business, and I cannot express how wonderfully professional this is. I have had far too many experiences of contractors coming out to estimate, only to never contact me again, or to go through the trouble of sending me a quote and then never actually schedule the work.

While I did find someone who was able to do the work I requested in my short time frame, in the future, I will definitely contact Williams again for a bid. Just this email was enough to tell me about the company culture here, and I have great confidence in their professionalism.

I had a fantastic experience with Williams Professional Painting. My husband and I just moved to Virginia from Minnesota and we found Williams Professional Painting through Angie's list. I received estimates from three different painters and Dave Williams' estimate was the priced in the middle of the other two. But the reason I picked them was Dave's professionalism and responsiveness. He offered some great advice on questions I had throughout the house and his administrative team was quick and polite in responding to my questions. The crew began just two weeks later and did a beautiful job. Not only that they were very respectful of my privacy and were extremely professional. They also gladly did a few "honey do" items for me while they were here. They were a joy to have in the house and were fantastic about patching up and correcting little imperfections in the walls and ceiling that I hadn't even noticed. After the job was finished Williams Professional Painting offered services of their carpenter who works on an hourly basis to hang up all the art work. Juan, the carpenter, was very, very careful with all his measurements and, like the painters, was so conscientious. He even, when asked, offered some advice on the height at which to hang some pieces. Williams Professional Painting did a great job and they were a godsend to someone like me who is new to the area and had no one from who to get referrals. I was also impressed that Dave, the owner, stopped in twice during the job to check to see if I was satisfied.

Juan Maldonado worked as a carpenter on a project for us during May of 2014. His work and attention to detail is exceptional and we are very happy with the outcomes. Thanks so much....and can I say what a pleasure it is to work with Williams and especially this crew. Jose is a keeper!!!!!! I have had major issues with our flooring contractor this week in another part of the building. It was such a dramatic comparison between their work ethic and quality as compared to what was going on in the Vestry. Your team is amazing!!!!!!!! (I actually just sent the other sub packing and insisted that another crew be provided for next week.)

Milton Chavez provided a written estimate (for labor and materials) that was in line with actual costs. This was not the lowest estimate we received, but did seem to be in line with the skill level of the workers who did the repairs. I was impressed by their ability to work together as a team and to communicate closely with us for the three days they were on site. Both master carpenters, Dagoberto Rodriguez and another gentleman whose name I cannot recall, were thoroughly professional in every respect. While they were at work, I felt our house was in good hands. It was a pleasure to work with them. We would definitely hire them again for future work.

Just to let you know that Alberto and Omar did a wonderful job painting my kitchen. It looks really beautiful. They were totally professional and extremely pleasant and I appreciate the fact that you sent Omar to help after the mix-up regarding scheduling this job. Thanks again for your help and I'll be in touch regarding some work to do in the basement.

I have been thrilled with my entire experience with Williams Professional Painting. The website is easy to negotiate, the phone number and email produce immediate results and they worked with my schedule. Milton Chavez came out for an estimate and he has kind, helpful and efficient. The very next day, Franklin and Carlos showed up. They did a wonderful job. The place looks great and it is so clean. They also put everything back where they found it and even retrieved a couple of "lost" toys that were hiding behind big pieces of furniture. They worked very efficiently, but also thoroughly, and then they walked me through the whole job afterwards. They did a living room that opens to a kitchen and a hallway - all were painted one color - and they also did chair rails, molding and doors. It looks just wonderful. They also took old paint with them that I know longer need. I am so pleased and I will both recommend them to others and use them myself for future jobs.
