When we start a house painting project, we have two primary goals: deliver an incredible paint job and deliver an incredible experience. You deserve to have the peace of mind that comes from knowing your project is in good hands, especially when you’re painting spaces as personal to you as the interior of your home.

Today, we’d love to share a snapshot of an interior repaint we finished recently for a wonderful client in Washington DC. Built in 1926, this home is full of timeless details and character - a testament to older craftsmanship. It was our pleasure to add a new chapter to this property’s story; one filled with fresh paint, wall repair, and a little carpentry too.

Interior Painting Services in Washington DC: A Closer Look At Our Work

Here’s an overview of the surfaces we painted:

  • Foyer/entry hall

  • Powder room

  • Living room

  • Dining room

  • Family room

  • Coat closet

  • Closers in the bar, panty, and upstairs linen closet

  • Stairwell

  • Stairwell handrail and spindles

  • Upstairs hallway

  • Office

  • Bedrooms

  • Family room doors

  • An assortment of doors

  • Clean, prepping and painting the front door frame

Surface preparation is an essential part of every project. This includes cleaning the surfaces, light repairs where needed, sanding, etc. Some of these spaces, however, required a little extra TLC. In one of the bedrooms, for example, we repaired the ceiling: removing the old tape, replacing with screws, re-skimming the drywall, priming, and painting.

How About a Little Carpentry?

Sometimes you need a little more than paint alone for your vision to be fully realized…

We removed old bookshelves in the office space, then repaired the walls as needed before prepping and painting. We also adjusted the banister posts in the stairwell, plus built a cabinet to enclose the kitchen radiator.

And Here’s What Our Client Had to Say

As we mentioned above, our clients’ experience is a driving priority behind the work we do, and how we do it. Needless to say, it made our day when we received this glowing review from our client on Google!

“Williams Professional Painting is amazing! They are easily the best contractor we've ever worked with! They just completed a month-long project at our home that involved painting most of the interior of our house and our patio, as well as a wide range of carpentry work and repairs. From beginning to end, it was a first-rate experience. Our first contact was with Yanize, who came to our home to discuss the job with me. She was very knowledgeable, personable, accurate, and kind and gave us a quote very soon after the meeting. She then set us up with an excellent crew, led by foreman Arturo. Arturo was the absolute best foreman we could have asked for. He is very very skilled, has amazing attention to detail, is a great communicator, and could not be nicer to work with. I had many questions and some changes throughout the project and he worked with me on every single thing until I was satisfied. He also kept the project on track and it finished the exact day he said it would. His crew was first-rate and the work they did is outstanding. We also worked with their very skilled carpenter Gustavo, who refurbished an exterior door for us, updated all our interior door hardware, and re-secured our wobbly bannister. Gustavo is like a magician - his work is so good you can't even see how he did it. He is also really kind and great communicator. In addition to this excellent team, I interacted with the company's president Rick Williams and was really impressed by him and how genuinely important it was to him that we were happy with the quality work and the outcome of the project. It was incredibly refreshing to work with a company that cares so much and delivers on each promise they make. Williams Professional Painting did that for us. We'll always be grateful to them - and definitely hire them again.”
