Getting Ready for Back to School
Labor Day weekend is here and we all know what that means - school buses on the roads at rush hour, getting the kids up early and out the door, and all the associated changes in our schedules. With the change of seasons and the coming of Fall, there are a few things you can do to make your life happier, or at least more organized. There are also some common sense things you should do as we prepare for colder weather...
Your living space is a good place to start. Getting a new paint color on the walls - even on a single room of your home - is a great way to start fresh in the new season. If you know you want a change, but don't quite know what to do, give us a call and we'll set you up with our in-house interior designer. We'll give you all kinds of ideas you may not have thought of.
Next we go outside your home. The cold weather is right around the corner and it can be so hard on your exterior wood surfaces. If you have been putting off exterior painting, this is a great time of year to get it done.
There are also some other areas of your home you should consider as the seasons change. Fall means leaves...a lot of them! It's a good idea to check out your gutters to make sure that they are all in tact and rightly secured. The weather and leaves of the Fall and Winter can be a real mess if you have damaged or missing gutters.
Lastly, I came across a great piece in Organized Home - there are some great tips for organizing your life this time of year. Check it out!
